What Is The Vault?

The Vault, begun in November 2006, offers copies of every Babylon 5 Wars ("B5Wars") Second Edition Ship Control Sheet (SCS), ship counter and background information file (fluff) that I have been able to locate. None are my own work (except for a few of the Special Materials). I have created this site out of concern that some of the designers' sites may at some point go beyond the Rim, and because I found it less than easy to locate all of the excellent ship designs that are floating around the Web.

Fluff documents that contain information on multiple species appear in the Documents section, although the associated SCS files appear in the main list. Each SCS zipfile contains every SCS that I have been able to find for that species. Fluff and special rules for Babcom SCSs appear in the Babcom documents zip file. You will also find documents and links for a number of other B5-associated games, at the very bottom of the page.

I want to thank the countless B5Wars players, fans and makers who have sent files to me over the years. Without all that work behind the scenes, all this work wouldn't have been possible!

Cold Infinity

Cold Infinity is a Babylon 5 Wars-compatible tabletop space combat game (made by me!). Ships from B5Wars are easily converted to Cold Infinity, and Cold Infinity's general gameplay is similar to that of B5Wars. It is currently in a "late beta" phase and is fully playable. The game documents are free to download and copy. Although AoG Wars (above) is free as well, it does not include ship design rules or conservation of momentum. Cold Infinity includes both.

Maintenance Costs

For 16 years it cost me nothing to maintain the Vault. Now that everything is on Dropbox as of October 2022, I'm on a storage plan that runs $120/year. This is a negligible cost and I'm more than happy to pay it, since I love the Vault, too. However, if you wish to support the "maintenance costs" of this site, a small (very small) donation would not go unappreciated. My PayPal is linked to my email address, which is in the black bar at the top of the page. But please, do not feel obligated! The Vault will be here for everyone for as long as I'm around.

Ship Depository

I've created a shared folder on Dropbox for depositing ships and other documents you may wish to add to the Vault. This is the link. If you deposit something here, please make it a zip file, and be as descriptive as possible (preferably in a text file within the zip) so that I know exactly where it's supposed to go. If you are offering documents to be added to existing collections, please note the collection you're adding to.
